Raylene Clement – Practice Manager
Ruth Hopkins – Customer Service
Ruth has recently moved from Timaru as the Clinic Manager and Receptionist. Ruth enjoys the everyday contact with clients. Away from work Ruth enjoys her family, her grandchildren, reading and relaxing.
Linda Bloomfield – Customer Service
Emma Ireland – Customer Service
Sheree Munn – Customer Service
Sheree has been working for Vetlife for since 2005. Her role within the clinic is as receptionist and shop sales. During weekends Sheree likes to get outdoors and enjoys fishing and tramping, and catching up with friends.
Charlotte Edmonstone – Retail / Admin
Charlotte was born and bred in Ashburton. Charlotte joined Vetlife in 2006 in the role of Customer Service Large Animals.
Jennie Richmond – Inventory Manager
Jennie processes the inwards goods. One of her main responsibilities is to ensure products are used before their use by date, reducing shrinkage throughout the practice.
On Road Reps
Craig Straw
Craig has worked for Vetlife since 2001, initially in inwards and outwards good, moving then to large animal customer sales. Craig is now working as the dairy sales rep out of the Ashburton clinic.
Colin Cromie
Colin has been with Vetlife for 4 years servicing sheep and beef clients. Recently Colin has taken over servicing the Methven dairy clients. Previously Colin worked for an animal health company and a fertiliser company. Colin also farmed a mixed sheep and crop farm for 15 years.
Vet Nurses
Andrea Taylor
Andrea was born and bred in Fairlie and brought up on a sheep farm. In 2001 Andrea moved to Nelson to pursue vet nursing. In 2002 Andrea joined Ashburton Vetlife as a vet nurse.
Vinod Londhe
Vinod has a veterinary science degree from India and he is looking forward to practicing within New Zealand, by qualifying in the NZ National Vet Exam. Within his technicians role he is gathering the practical skills necessary for exams and future practice. He enjoys travelling and playing cricket and table tennis.
Vet Technicians
Steven Burrowes
Steven is employed as Head Technician for Ashburton. Previously Steven owned and operated a butcher shop. He is married with 2 children.
Darryl Drinnan
Darryl has worked with Vetlife since 2006. Originally from the Waikato where he worked as both Vet Technician and Vet Nurse for about 3 years. Darryl runs a Health Hoof program for Vetlife, doing work with lameness in cows. Darryl enjoys living in the South Island, is married and has 6 children.

Shannon Reeve
Susan Geddes
Susan started at the clinic in 2005 after completing her degree. During the first two years she also spent some time working at the Banks Peninsula Clinic. Susan enjoys working with dairy cows, small animals and alpacas, as her interest lies with small animal medicine and cattle medicine. Susan wishes to further her knowledge in ruminant nutrition.
Kasia Chapman – Labecka
Kasia was born in Poland, achieving a higher degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1990 from Warsaw Veterinary College. Kasia and her husband moved to Ashburton in 1996. Her main professional interests are equine reproductions and camelid medicine. Kasia set up the Camlid Branch of New Zealand Veterinary Association in 2000. In her spare time she is a dedicated mother of three boys, spends time Latin dancing with her husband and looks after their small farm block.
Jane Sykes
Alex Avery
After graduating from Bristol in 2006, Alex spent 3 years in rural mixed practice dealing predominately with companion animals and dairy cattle. After getting married and travelling around Asia for 6 months they arrived in Ashburton. Alex works entirely on the small animal side of the practice and is keen to persue his interests in both medicine and surgery. Interests outside of work include surfing, photgraphy and tramping.
Amy Avery
Amy graduated from Bristol Vet School, UK in 2006. She worked as a large animal vet in the UK for three years. InJanuary 2010, she came to Vetlife and is keen to experience New Zealand dairy work. Her interests lie predominately in catttle medicine and fertility. She also enjoys working with sheep and alpacas.
Katherine Lambarth
Kat is from the USA and graduated from Michigan State University 2007. She worked as a cattle vet in Wisconsin for 2 years then headed back to university for a year program to study production medicine and teach cattle medicine and surgery to vet students. Her main area of interest is dairy cattle, but she is looking forward to working with other farm species as well. Outside of work Kat enjoys traveling, hiking, sport, and playing tunes on the fiddle.
