Exciting Opportunity for Companion Animal Practitioners

Vetlife currently has exciting opportunities for veterinarians in Mid Canterbury, based at our branch in Ashburton.

The ideal candidates will have 2-3 years’ work experience in mixed practice.  To be successful you will need to have excellent client interaction skills and enjoy offering high-quality care and follow up to your client base. Vetlife Ashburton has a busy companion animal practice with the potential to expand further, as well as a strong dairy-focused large animal team.

Opportunities for Experienced Vet Nurses

We currently have opportunities for qualified and experienced Vet Nurses with a passion for customer service to join the team at our Wanaka and Oamaru clinics.

The successful candidate will work alongside our team of veterinarians and also make sure that our clients receive the highest quality customer service by co-ordinating their phone calls and requests, appointments and product needs.

Key attributes for these positions include:

  • A passion for animal health
  • Well-developed vet nursing skills and experience
  • Friendly personality combined with an excellent phone manner
  • Confidence to communicate effectively with our valued client base as well as within the close knit team within the clinic
  • Strong team player skills
  • Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to changing priorities calmly and efficiently

These are full time positions which include some rostered Saturday morning work.  Duties are varied from reception work to full surgical nursing duties.  There may also be some opportunity for veterinary technician work from time to time, so experience/interest in this area would be a bonus.
