Mixed Practitioner – Methven
Vetlife is a large, privately owned practice on the east coast of the South Island of NZ with branches from North Canterbury to Central Otago. The practice is experiencing increased and on-going demand for veterinary services to both our rural and urban clients.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a mixed animal practitioner in our Methven branch to deliver a premium service in both large and small animal health. Vetlife, Methven is a small, rural practice that prides itself on a team approach to providing a highly personalized service to its client base. The role is varied with a strong dairy focus and with some sheep and beef work. There is also a significant component of companion animal work and this position would suit someone with a keen interest in taking this side of the practice forward and making it their own.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience in mixed practice. To be successful you will need to have excellent client interaction skills and enjoy offering continuity of care to your clients. You will enjoy team work and being part of the local community.
Vetlife offers a competitively structured salary and CPD allowance and a vehicle for business use. We participate in an afterhours roster with colleagues from two nearby branches giving us an attractive roster. As part of our small, friendly and enthusiastic team you will also be part of the wider Vetlife practice with access to a network of colleagues who are experienced in all aspects of veterinary medicine and nutrition. As part of a large, diverse practice you will have access to professional development opportunities both internally and externally.
Methven is situated one hour south of Christchurch and 20 minutes from Ashburton. We enjoy easy access to the ski fields at Mount Hutt and a variety of river and mountain activities in the summer months.
