We have several opportunities for large animal veterinarians to support our dairy vet teams during the busy calving period August through to October 2019. As a Vetlife veterinarian you will work within a team of passionate professionals including vets, technicians and support staff, dedicated to providing high quality, leading edge service to our clients. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced dairy vets and to develop your own knowledge and skills. All of this, in some of the most stunning landscapes in New Zealand! Why not also take time to experience some of what the South Island has to offer – winter sports, scenery, famous kiwi hospitality and the great outdoors.
Once you have tried it, you might even want to stay a while!
The Ideal Candidate
These locum assignments would best suit vets who have 3 years plus production animal experience, are confident working in the dairy sector and are keen to learn about New Zealand systems and practices. You will be a committed team player, get on with all sorts of people and be client and service focussed.

Senior mixed animal veterinarian – Live the good life
We currently have a rare and exciting opportunity in North Canterbury for an experienced veterinarian where the role is truly mixed animal practice.
Located in Culverden, you will have everything you need for a balanced lifestyle on your doorstep. Within easy reach of an array of outdoor activities from water sports and fishing to amazing scenery and walking tracks you will also be close to the resort of Hanmer Springs and everything that has to offer, not to mention world class wineries. In addition, Christchurch is not far away so the whole family is catered for.
This opportunity is perfect for a mixed animal veterinarian, ideally with several years’ broad-based experience, including dairy. You will be part of the experienced, friendly team of vets and support staff, servicing Vetlife clients in North Canterbury. You will have the opportunity to become part of this unique community, working with the team to continue to build this Vetlife branch which was opened three years ago and still has lots of opportunities to grow further.
As well as being a key member of your individual branch team, you will also be part of the wider Vetlife practice with access to a network of colleagues who have extensive experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine and nutrition. With 18 clinics, over 60 veterinarians and a large team of support staff, there are always people at hand to provide support and advice.
