Paul Johnson

Paul graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1987 and then spent the next 15 years in mixed practice in the UK.   In 2002 he moved to Ashburton with his wife Gisell and two Shetland-born boys before moving to Geraldine in 2005 to work in mixed practice.   2007 saw Paul take up a position in what was then the New Zealand Food Safety Authority as Supervising Vet at Pareora where he stayed until July 2013.

Paul joined the Vetlife Temuka team in July 2013 and is still resident in Geraldine and committed to staying in the region, especially now they have a family of four active boys who are well settled into the local community and involved in summer and winter sports.

Outside of work Paul enjoys coaching and playing football in the winter and coaching swimming in the summer.   When time allows he occasionally has a weekend away in the hills or cleans up their sailing boat and heads for Lake Opuha or Akaroa Harbour.   Paul looks after his creative/artistic side by playing the piano and, on rare occasions, torturing his family with the violin.
