Graham Johnson

Graham joined Vetlife Wanaka in September 2014 as a mixed animal veterinarian. He grew up in New York City and has a BSc. in Zoology from McGill University (Montreal, Canada). He originally came to New Zealand to do a Master’s degree in Zoology but decided after a year to go to vet school instead. He graduated from Massey University in 2011 and began working in a very small town in the North Island’s King Country. A truly mixed job, Graham serviced sheep and beef, dairy, and deer farms as well as small animal clients. He also saw the odd horse, pig, alpaca, chicken and any other animal that may have been in need of attention. Graham enjoys the variety that comes with mixed practice – from calving angry beef cows to small animal surgery.

Outside of work, Graham is very keen on both climbing and skiing and is keen to fully exploit the area’s climbing potential.
