Vetlife Dunsandel clinic covers a wide district, ranging from below the Rakaia River to above the Selwyn River, including Ellesmere and Hororata/Darfield.
Vetlife Dunsandel is based in a modern purpose-built clinic and we cover a variety of species including pets, lifestyle block and production animals. We stock a wide range of products, ranging from pet toys and food, to cattle and sheep essentials. Our clinic benefits from highly experienced staff who are assisted by an equally experienced support team. We provide quick and effective emergency and after-hours service for animals that are in need of veterinary care, 24/7 across the region.
The Dunsandel team have strong pet, dairy farm, sheep and beef expertise.
Our friendly, caring and compassionate small animal team are able to provide all of the standard services to help keep your pets healthy and happy. Services available include vaccinations and health checks, desexing surgeries, digital x-rays and dental cleaning and extractions. We also have in-house blood and urine testing capabilities which, in many cases, allow us to get same-day results when your pet is unwell.
Vetlife Dunsandel offers a range of dairy services including detailed reproductive, mastitis, lameness and animal health plans, plus ambulance and planning work. Our trained vets and techs are variously accredited in Healthy Hoof, InCalf and Condition Scoring and they include a NMAC mastitis advisor. We also have a Sheep & Beef Consultant who provides valuable experience in all areas of this farming system. A clinic representative routinely visits each farm, providing regular support for clients and ensuring regular communication with vets.
